Xander Schauffele won his second major this season at the British Open!
Xander Schauffele, the gold medallist for the United States at the Tokyo Olympics and the world's second-ranked golfer (as of 22 July 2024), carded six birdies on the final day after starting the tournament in second place, while many top-ranked players failed to improve their scores. He carded a bogey-free 65 on the final day to win the tournament on nine under par, overturning a one-shot deficit.
